HIGH POWER APPLICATIONS

A sapphire ring is inserted in the ferule as centering part for the fiber. This design is extremely effective for high power light injection. Unlike other absorbing materials the sapphire is transparent to the light which is not totally focused into the fiber. Injection can be further improved by a cantilever assembly of the fiber.
